I am so delighted to indicate that Arctic05 International Polar Organisation & myself are joining Austrian skipper Norbert Sedlacek’s wonderful sailing project with code name Ant-Arctic-Lab – 2018-19!
His goal is to circumnavigate famous Arctic Northwest passage and Antarctica in just 7 months without assistance and stopping! This extreme sailing adventure will be accomplished on his 60ft. racing yacht Open60 (see below picture) through the most dangerous icy waters of our planet (see below map)…
During this record breaking voyage, the yacht will draw media attention on the changing state of the oceans, the global warming, the environmental condition of the polar caps and the affect of rising CO2 emissions are having on the planet.
“… Together with our new partner Arctic05 we want to point out especially the beauty of our planet and to show many possibilities to work sustainably in the nautical industry. This as well during offshore competitions, which bring us to the most extraordinary places on our planet! But we do not want only to illustrate this, we also want to prove that sporting and tourism can be also done in a completely environmentally acceptable way!
How can we prove that?
In order not to burden the Arctic and Antarctic waters, we rely on our boat building concept, which excludes vapors and sediments of the underwater hull and also in terms of energy supply we will run our project 100% emission-free. Therefore we will not stress acritical waters, the flora and fauna.
As Arctic05 campaigns for the protection of the Arctic already for many years we feel happy about the fact that Patrick Reader (Founder of Arctic05) joins our team and supports us with his experience about the Arctic regions. We are sure that our partnership will be able to transfer the issue of sustainability and natural protection even better! … more info >> “.
Sending the all team plenty of positive energy for their expedition preparation.
I invite you to support them by sending some motivation messages.
