The Arctic, a fragile and vulnerable region, is the major witness to global warming and environmental deregulation. The Photographic Observatory on the Arctic was created in response to two specific needs: first, to create a reference collection of photographs documenting these sentinel areas and secondly, to inform and raise awareness among the general public.
