The first attempt in history to reach all four North Poles in the same season ?
In February 2006, the British explorer Jim McNeill will make the first attempt in history to reach all four North Poles* (+- 1000 to 1200 miles) in the same season.
The Arctic Pole which is the farthest point from any coastline – the so called “Northern Pole of Inaccessibility” is a point never before reached by a lone explorer.

Geographic Pole => where the Earth’s axis of rotation meet – also called “True North”
Arctic Pole => farthest point from any coastline – also called the “Northern Pole of Inaccessibility”
Geomagnetic Pole => point where geomagnetic field is closest to “True North”
Magnetic Pole => where geomagnetic field points vertically into the ground
