(Ant)arctic matters, world Polar Art exhibition …

Polar explorer Dixie Dansercoer (see below picture) will be launching on the 6th of October 08 is new Polar project called the (Ant)arctic matters (AAM). (Ant)arctic matters (AAM) is a tantalizing global project, creating awareness for today’s ecological consequences of climate change. Physically, AAM is an art exhibition, travelling around the world in twelve containers.

The exhibit’s main goal is to confront the visitor with an artistic view on the intricate character of the Polar Regions, the Arctic Ocean and the Antarctic continent, two unique global barometers for climate change. The missions are:

– To bring awareness to the fragility of the Polar Regions
– To tantalize by providing direct confrontation
– To stimulate action
