ebay: buy a tree to help the International Polar Foundation

Has been announced on the International Polar Foundation  website (IFP) that trees can be bought today on ebay & the proceeds of the sale will go to the foundation…

“…The green metal tree is one of the seven trees being sold. Each is in a different colour (red, blue, yellow, green, orange, pink fuchsia and white). These seven trees are among the 100 other trees in the Land Art exhibition “Let’s make the world a brighter place”, displayed along the prestigious Avenue Roosevelt in Brussels from 21 September to 8 October 2007. On each of their four sides they carry three glass plates on which are printed dreams for a better world, contributed by members of the public and Internet visitors from all over the world (www.brighterplace.eu). The trees are 2.20 m high and 1.40 m wide, weigh 90 kg and have fixings for attaching them solidly to the ground.

These seven trees are the only ones signed by the explorer Alain Hubert, who founded the International Polar Foundation (www.polarfoundation.org). All the proceeds from the sale will go to this foundation (a tax certificate will be issued on request).

The exhibition was organised by AGC Flat Glass Europe (formerly Glaverbel), the European leader in flat glass, whose corporate mission is indeed “To make the world a brighter place…”
