New Year: very best greetings to all!
Dear friends,
Dear visitors,
First of all, I want to wish you all many joyful moments during Christmas time & thanking you for the marks of encouragements which are as many reasons for me to actively prolong my Arctic05 project. Beyond that, let this New Year be wonderful and be a year of polar actions, with plenty of « green thoughts & gestures».
In the context of the International Polar Year 07/08 (IPY 07/08), let us think on how we can act more efficiently to reduce at home, in our garden, on the street, in the car, at work our consumption of water and energy, to limit our CO2 emissions… Let us go on together to conserve the

Taking also the opportunity to send my very best wishes to the hundreds of polar projects which are in progress in the framework of the IPY 07/08…. in particular the scientists who are wintering in Inglefield bay in Svalbard aboard sailing ship the « Vagabond », the International Polar Foundation’s team which are in Antarctica building up « Princess Elisabeth » polar station… and to the numerous Polar regions lovers which are sharing with us their know-how & dreams.
These last months, I have met youngsters and teachers motivated by the beauties of Polar regions & are aware it’s time to (re)act for a better planet … I simply say to them: pursue your dreams & your « green vision ».
Small message to the young generation: it’s still time to actively participate to the
«PassPole » project initiated by the Scientific Youths of Belgium.
– To schools & teachers: Don’t hesitate to ask a free «Arctic05 Polar Calendar 08».
– Good idea for the end of year: share your New Year wishes with others on « Forum interactif d’Arctic05 ». Let this Polar website bring you at the near hand of Arctic dreams & respect!
A Merry Christmas to all and Excellent Polar Year 2008… Let us share our moments of joy, our smiles, our 2008 resolutions with our close relations, friends… and with those who are more in the need.
All the very best,
Patrick
