In Belgium, we can all become Arctic lovers & polar adventurers!

If your dream would be to one day discover the Arctic, understand how to prepare a Polar expedition,  view breathtaking icy landscapes, encounter the King of the North Pole Mr the Polar bear and why not be as well a protector of its beautiful wildlife and Nature… it may become true thanks to Belgian Polar explorer and expert Dixie Dansercoer and Polar Experience. 

In fact, you are all invited to join on the 02/09/2014 to an info session and if ever you are interested in those wonderful cold regions and willing to know how to organize a Polar adventure, you may subscribe for this autumn to an initiation weekend with Dixie Dansercoer himself and/or participate with him to an expedition either up there up North in the Arctic or /& to Antarctica…Read here below all details! 

 

 

The info session will be held in Gent, Belgium on 02/09/2014 at 19.30 at ‘t Zuiderhuis office. Address: Kortedagsteeg 13 – 15, 9000 Gent, Belgium – +32 (0)9/233.45.33. 

3 initiation weekends to Polar activities with famous Belgian Polar explorer Dixie Dansercoer will be held in Wallonie (Belgium) at the Gîte d’Etape (see below picture) of Villers-Sainte-Gertrude: on 11 – 12 October 2014, 25 – 26 October 2014 and 8 – 9 November 2014 (indicated fee of 435-E/person/ full pension for 2 days workshop). 

A great deal will be presented: the history of Polar travel, the environment, the physical and mental training, daily routine and logistics, navigation, equipment, nutrition, communication, wildlife and the techniques for staying safe and effectively trekking in cold and extreme circumstances (click here to view the complete programme >>).

 

 

The initiation weekend will be followed with an invitation to a ski & pulka expedition of 9 days in Svalbard (Spitsbergen). This  Arctic journey will take place from the 05 to 13/03/15 at an indicated price of 4.699-Euro. Under guidance from Dixie Dansercoer, you’ll be able to put everything you’ve learnt into practice.

In February/March 2016, you may as well participate in a twelve-day ski and pulka expedition  on the Greenland ice-cap or/& join in April 2016 an expedition group through the frozen white world of the geographical North Pole (click here to view the complete programme >>).
