The satellite Cryosat felt into the Arctic Ocean minutes after lift-off from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia

We can imagine that for scientists the crash is a huge “tragedy” as it will be years before they could be able to launch a similar mission, even if more funding are available.
